Your personal profile – It needs to be snappy and straight to the point.
Why should they hire you?
We have given you some help with the 3P’s method!
Which stands for…. Personality, Past, Purpose.
Personality – Who are you? What are your values? What value do you bring?
Most recruiters want to gauge from the first instance if you would be the right fit for their company culture.
Included here is a list of 50 Powerful Personality Adjectives to help you best communicate.

Determined – Pick one to describe in more depth? I am determined because? How does that relate to the role?
Current role: Marketing and Events Manager
Tip: If you are looking for a promotion then use your promotion title instead e.g. Director of Marketing and Events
Example sentence 1:
Hello, I’m (Name) – a confident and energetic Marketing and Events Manager living in London with 5 years of experience in Marketing and Event Management.
I am determined to work with bigger clients within fashion and beauty and to execute even bigger creative event ideas.
Or
I am a determined event manager and I have amazingly executed 30 fashion and beauty events over the last 5 years.
Example sentence 2:
Hello, I’m (Name) – a determined and energetic Marketing and Events Manager living in London with 5 years of experience.
I am a confident marketeer within the fashion and beauty industry with big creative ideas!
Past – think of all your past work experience and find sentences to quantify your contribution? Which has been the most rewarding? What has been the most successful? What did you improve by you being there?
You would need at least one for the opening personal profile and one each of your roles in the experience section. They need to be powerful statements - I am, I did, I achieved, I improved, I grew!
Example sentences:
Role: Marketing and Events Manager
“I created a campaign for the launch of the booster shoe which generated 1 million hits worldwide to the website and across all social media channels on the first day.”
“I planned a launch event for the release of the new chef app which generated 500 signups the next day.”
“I wrote a new marketing and social media strategy which improved the engagement and tone-of voice of company x.”
“I created a successful social influencer campaign for the launch of the new Go Flowers which generated over £10000 on valentine’s day sales.”
Purpose –our purpose is what drives us to wake up every morning?
How does our life’s work connect to who we are?
By including this on your CV/Resume you are letting recruiters know that you have purpose behind why you do what you do.
Our purpose will always be something that:
We feel that we are naturally good at and enjoy doing.
We feel passionate and care deeply about.
We feel fits our values and ways we prefer to operate in the world.
If you do not feel this way about what you currently do. Maybe it’s time to re-evaluate things.
Example sentence:
“My purpose is to design and create things that the world values and needs and in doing so encourage others see the freedom in creativity.”
Your skills – remember that your recruiters these days use recruitment computer systems to search through CV’s and sift out those easily that don’t make the cut. Recruiters are looking skilled candidates that can do the job. Make sure that you include all necessary skills on your CV both technical and soft.
The goal of the CV/ Resume is to get you the call for the opportunity or next gig!
